It's rare to find a natural rock formation on the east coast. This may be the only one between Palm Coast, FL and Montauk, NY (I may be wrong). I was able to capture just enough of it above water around high tide during the king tide. It was extremely challenging, waiting for the water to recede for just a few seconds, plant my tripod in the sand, let the shutter go for at least a full second for a long exposure, grab my camera and get out of there before the next wave came in. I literally only had a few seconds each time, and after doing this about once a minute for over an hour there were a half dozen times I didn't make it and my boots and pants got soaked. It was worth it to get these shots though.
