A 30 second exposure of a set of "steps" in South Nags Head, on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It looks Photoshopped, but it isn't. The long exposure captures all of the wave action over 30 seconds, giving the appearance of fog or haze over the water. And the long exposure actually picked up about 15 of the "steps", the most I've ever been able to photograph, because any one of them only has to be visible for a split second over that 30 second period to be captured.
